Pokémon Pokopia is diving beneath the waves in a free update and the first of three paid DLC releases out later this year

Well, that’s me back in. Just when I thought my time with Pokémon Pokopia might be coming to an end, Nintendo has unveiled a whole bunch of new stuff launching this August.

First up is a free update that’ll make it possible to dive beneath the waves in order to walk – and build – on the sea bed. Which would have made my Bleak Beach renovations much easier!

That arrives this August, and will be accompanied by the first bit of paid DLC for Pokopia which introduces Bubbly Basin, a brand-new town featuring new Pokemon, outfit, and furniture.

Bubbly Basin is one of three chunks of paid DLC that’ll be available to purchasers of Pokémon Pokopia’s newly unveiled paid Expansion Pass. Nintendo hasn’t yet shared details of its other two bits, but the pass itself will be available to purchase starting today.
