Walmart is offering the lowest price I’ve seen for IGN’s 2023 Game of the Year. For a limited time, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch has dropped in price to $48.97 with free shipping after a 30% off instant discount. You can also get an extra $10 on top by applying coupon code “SAVE3X“, dropping the price to $38.97, which treads into Black Friday level pricing. Your mileage may vary (it might not work for you) but we’ve confirmed that it is working for a lot of people. Here are the coupon code’s official details:
- Valid on your first three online pickup or delivery orders
- Only for new customers (although it actually works for many returning customers)
- Minimum order of $35.

Tears of the Kingdom follows a few years after the events of Breath of the Wild. In his 10/10 review, IGN’s Tom Marks called Tears of the Kingdom “a remarkable sequel the somehow raises the bar.” You reprise your role as Link as he explores the familiar Hyrule mainland bolsted by the addition of floating islands in the sky and the underground abyss. If you’re a Switch gamer who enjoys open-world adventure games, this is an absolute must-buy. If you haven’t played it yet, you have time to beat this before the new Ocarina of Time remake comes out later in November.
Note that this is the original Switch edition. You can upgrade to the Switch 2 edition for $9.99.
