The highly-anticipated live-action adaptation of Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda movie is coming to Netflix after its “theatrical and home entertainment release periods”.
That’s according to Famitsu (thanks, NintendoLife), which claims that as part of its “Pay-1 Deal” agreement, the Zelda movie will come to Netflix along with other movies like The Beatles’ four-part film, The Nightingale, and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Nintendo’s live-action adaptation was specifically mentioned as one of the titles to be exclusively streamed on Netflix after its theatrical and home entertainment exclusivity periods.
Filming for Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda adaptation began last November in New Zealand, and is expected to run until April next year. The film is due to release on 7th May, 2027. Link and Princess Zelda will be played by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason, respectively.
