The fifth entry in the acclaimed co-op puzzle series We Were Here series has been announced.
It’s known as We Were Here Tomorrow, and according to independent developer Total Mayhem Games this next entry will mark the series’ “biggest shift yet”. And how so? Well, it will transport players to a retro-futuristic complex known as the Norcek facility, where they will be able to try their hands with some new attire and abilities.
You can check out a brief teaser for We Were Here Tomorrow below:
“In this next standalone entry of the We Were Here series, you and your partner wake up inside a mysterious facility. Strange machinery surrounds you, and a calm, confident voice guides you through a series of assignments,” reads the official blurb for We Were Here Tomorrow.
“Often separated and equipped with different tools, you’ll need to rely on your walkie-talkies to communicate clearly and work together. Each assignment introduces new asymmetrical puzzles that can only be solved through cooperation with your fellow explorer.”
Honestly, this all sounds right up my street, and I am going to get my fellow co-op puzzle fan Matt to play with me (he doesn’t actually know that yet, though, but he will be finding out very shortly).
We Were Here Tomorrow is set to arrive later this year across PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, where you can wishlist the game now.

As for earlier series entries, Eurogamer contributor Henry Stockdale was quite keen on We Were Here Forever, which he called the “co-op experience I didn’t know I wanted” back in 2022.
“Co-op’s never been my immediate go-to; I’ve always preferred the solo experience where possible,” he wrote after a 20 minute hands-on demo with We Were Here Forever. “And yet, I was invested.”
