If you are one of the many to have already completed Resident Evil Requiem and are thirsty for more, well I have good news. It’s getting additional story content further down the line.
The news was shared by Resident Evil Requiem’s director Koshi Nakanishi earlier today. In a short video thanking the community for its support since the game’s release at the end of February, Nakanishi assured fans that updates which will add the likes of photo mode are indeed coming. He then closed by sifting through some amusing print outs (see header image), before announcing that lovely new story expansion, which will “delve deeper into the world of Requiem”.

“We’re hard at work on it now,” Resident Evil Requiem’s director said. However, before you get too carried away, we may have to wait a little while before it arrives. “It will take some time, so we ask for your patience,” Nakanishi said, refraining from giving any more details on what this additional story expansion will actually include. “[I] hope you’ll look forward to it,” the director closed. Oh, I already am, Nakanishi, don’t you worry.
Ahead of this, though, the Resident Evil Requiem team also has new content in the form of a minigame planned, which is scheduled for “around May”. Nakanishi didn’t give any more specifics about what kind of minigame, though, so stay tuned for more.

Earlier this month, Capcom revealed Resident Evil Requiem had surpassed 5m sales in less than a week, and this success is well deserved. We recently awarded Resident Evil Requiem five stars, with our Matt calling it “both a masterful bit of suffocating horror and a nostalgic, fan-thrilling victory lap for the legendary series”. Soon after its debut, Requiem saw the biggest concurrent Steam player count in Resident Evil history.
If you are one of the many currently making your way through Resident Evil Requiem but need a little steer in the right direction, be sure to check out our guides. We even have one on that oh-so-obtuse final puzzle.
