Avatar: The Last Airbender might not be the newest Universes Beyond release anymore after the recent release of TMNT, but it’s still one of the more interesting crossovers Magic has pulled off in recent memory, and right now, it’s a lot easier to recommend at such a low price point.

If you want to check it out at such a low price point, I’d snap it up ASAP. The deal will expire in under five days’ time, but I’d highly suspect it will sell out way before that.
Most Magic deals at Woot tend to go fast, especially when they’re such great deals like this one (such as the nifty MTG x Warhammer 40K precon bundle deal that’s already sold out as well).
And I’d highly recommend you do pick it up. I love this set, and still maintain that it’s the best entry point for new Magic players out there right now.
As we covered in our preview of the product last year, the setup closely follows the Foundations Beginner Box from 2024, just reworked around Avatar’s world, so it’s designed to teach you how to play without throwing too much at you too quickly.
Inside, you’ll find two play boards, a guided tutorial, and two pre-built half decks themed around Aang and Zuko. Once you’ve worked through that first guided match, there’s more to dig into as well.
The box also includes eight additional half-decks that can be mixed and matched however you like, letting you experiment with different combinations across Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. You can lean into bigger creatures, focus on spells, or just mess around with different pairings to see what clicks.
That’s really where it earns its keep. This isn’t just a one-and-done tutorial box; it gives you enough variety to actually learn how the game flows while building out a small collection at the same time.
The Avatar theme also does a decent job of translating elemental bending into Magic’s mechanics, which helps it stand out from some of the flatter Universes Beyond efforts.
