During last night’s Xbox Partner Preview showcase, AdHoc announced that its brilliant superhero workplace comedy Dispatch would be heading over to Microsoft’s Series X/S consoles, as well as Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud.
Needless to say, Xbox-fans were pretty excited by this news, but there was one question that the community wanted clarification on before getting too carried away – will Dispatch be censored on Xbox, like it is on Switch 2?

As a reminder, when AdHoc’s episodic release made its Nintendo debut, many fans were disappointed to discover Dispatch was heavily censored on Switch and Switch 2 as standard, with characters’ nipples and penises covered with a black box by default, while noises of sexual pleasure were dampened down. However, AdHoc has confirmed this will not be the case for its Xbox release.
“The Xbox version of Dispatch will be the same full release as the original PC and PlayStation versions,” AdHoc wrote on social media, when asked about censorship following last night’s announcement.
When further questioned about adjusting its Switch version, AdHoc added: “We’re still actively working with Nintendo on an update and will let you know as soon as it’s ready.”
Dispatch has been a huge success for AdHoc, selling over 1m copies in just 10 days following its initial release last year. Thanks to this success, the studio is now considering a second season, possibly with even more sex scenes given the “ravenous” response to the first season.
Dispatch is due to arrive on Xbox this summer, and can be added to your wishlists now. In the meantime, for everything else announced during last night’s showcase, be sure to check out our Xbox Partner Preview roundup here.
