Elden Ring movie cast announced, with Alien: Romulus, The Last of Us and Ex Machina actors all on board

The cast for the upcoming Elden Ring film has been announced, with writer and director Alex Garland reuniting with Ex Machina and Warfare stars, as well as familiar faces like The Last of Us and Parks and Recreation actor Nick Offerman all signed up.

One of the headliners for the film is Alien: Romulus and Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery actress Cailee Spaeny. Spaeny was first rumoured to be in talks for the Elden Ring adaptation last year.

Spaeny is joined on the upcoming adaptation by Ben Whishaw – known as Q in the most recent James Bond films, as well as the voice of Paddington – and Kit Connor. Connor’s previews credits include Warfare and Heartstopper.

But, that’s not all. Other confirmed Elden Ring cast members include:

  • Tom Burke (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Black Bag)
  • Havana Rose Liu (Tuner, Bottoms)
  • Sonoya Mizuno (Ex Machina)
  • Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes, The Crown)
  • Ruby Cruz (Bottoms, The Threesome)
  • Nick Offerman (The Last of Us, Margo’s Got Money Troubles)
  • John Hodgkinson (Dear England, Napoleon)
  • Jefferson Hall (House of the Dragon, Oppenheimer)
  • Emma Laird (28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, A Haunting in Venice)
  • Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace)

We still don’t have details on who is playing what character, but it is a pretty impressive cast so far. As for when we will see them all in action, the Elden Ring adaptation will be arriving in theatres on 3rd March, 2028.

The Elden Ring live-action film was announced back in May, with Garland as writer and director. Film production company A24 and game publisher Bandai Namco are both behind the project.

Elden Ring was initially released back in 2022, and soon became a phenomenal success for developer FromSoftware. A DLC known as Shadow of the Erdtree followed, as did multiplayer spin-off, Nightreign.
