Townfall Steelbook Bundle Revealed, Preorders Exclusive to UK and Europe

Konami has officially revealed a Silent Hill: Townfall Steelbook bundle exclusive to the UK and Europe.

The physical edition features striking new artwork created by the concept art team at ScreenBurn (the Glasgow-based studio developing the game).

The Silent Hill: Townfall Steelbook bundle is currently listed as an exclusive for the UK and European markets, with preorders now officially open on Amazon UK.

Curiously, Konami has still not confirmed an official release date for the game itself.

This is becoming a recent trend for the publisher. Konami has also rolled out a nearly identical strategy for its Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 steelbook.

Though MGS preorders have yet to go live despite Konami’s intended timeline, the regional lockout is identical. Just like Silent Hill: Townfall, the Master Collection Steelbook is strictly a European exclusive, keeping it out of the hands of US collectors.

For now, US fans of both Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid will be left hoping Konami eventually decides to bring these coveted Steelbooks stateside.

Silent Hill: Townfall is the latest game in the Silent Hill series, developed by Screen Burn and published by Konami and Annapurna Interactive.

The new installment follows protagonist Simon Ordell who, according to Konami’s official synopsis, “is called back to the island of St. Amelia to ‘put things right’, encountering a town lying quiet beneath a heavy fog, seemingly abandoned but not at rest.”

As showcased in the recent Silent Hill Transmission reveal trailer featured above, Townfall will utilize a first-person perspective. The footage also offered a glimpse at the arsenal and tools Simon will rely on to survive the mist-shrouded island, ranging from a standard handgun and a makeshift wooden plank to a mysterious portable CRTV that appears to play a crucial role in the gameplay.
