Nintendo Music now supports PC, tablets, and car screens as a whopping four hours of Mario Kart World bangers join the streaming service

Nintendo Music has been around for a good while now, but despite many updates to its musical selection since launch, the streaming service has only been accessible via Nintendo’s mobile app. That’s now changed.

Alongside the release of a newly enhanced mobile edition, Nintendo Music is now available on PC internet browsers, tablets, and even touch screens on modern cars. New features include support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the ability to create and share playlists, and a ‘My Mix’ option that generates a playlist based on a user’s play history.

The library, if you haven’t looked into it previously, offers a surprisingly substantial collection of music from classic and modern Nintendo games – covering more than 130 titles, with Nintendo promising more soundtrack additions to come. It does, however, require an active Switch Online subscription; those who aren’t subscribed can browse the library but won’t be able to listen to anything. So yes, you’ll be missing out on four hours and 13 minutes of bangers from Mario Kart World – all added this week – with Free Roam tunes set to arrive later.

Non-subscribers can, at least, head to Spotify, where Nintendo partially uploaded the Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 soundtrack in April, probably to amplify the noise around The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
