As The Witcher 4’s development continues and we await a release date for The Witcher 3’s next expansion – its first DLC in ten years – a new report has claimed developer CD Projekt has a second, previously unannounced multiplayer Witcher game in the works.
That’s according to MP1st, whose sources claim this second multiplayer project – described as a free-to-play co-op action-RPG – is a separate game to CD Projekt’s long-in-the-works Project Sirius.
Supposedly, the free-to-play title is set in the year 1230, “during a time when Geralt was still a young witcher”, and borrows elements from the main series’ combat and progression systems. “Gameplay-wise, the title will take you on contracts to kill monsters across several environments,” MP1st wrote. “A skill-based system drives the combat mechanics, letting you choose abilities from different witcher schools, shaping your moveset by mastering Signs and brewing potions.” It’s also claimed players can create and customise their own witchers.

MP1st’s sources also claim the free-to-play game is specifically targeting PC and mobile devices – unlike Project Sirius, which is described as a larger title coming to PC and consoles.
There’s no word of a developer, but it’s perhaps notable that CD Projekt entered into a deal with Saudi-backed mobile developer Scopely last year to “develop a game set within one of [the studio’s] IPs”. That followed confirmation in 2024 it was considering licensing opportunities to bring The Witcher and Cyberpunk to mobile devices.
We reached out to CD Projekt Red for comment on the report.
