The Crew Motorfest Headed to Nintendo Switch 2, Leak Reveals

Ubisoft will soon announce a Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Crew Motorfest, including a physical release on a Game-Key Card.

That’s according to Dealabs’ ever-reliable billbil_kun, who reported that the open-world racer’s Switch 2 edition is currently set to launch on October 8, priced at $49.99 / £44.99 / €44.99.

One aspect keeping that cost low may be its launch on a cheaper Game-Key Card cartridge, Nintendo’s cheaper physical alternative that gives collector’s something inside their game box but still requires you download the full game.

But there’s also the fact that, by the time it arrives on Switch 2, the game will also be three years old. Originally released for PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, XBox One and Xbox Series X/S back in September 2023, the Hawaii-set racer received mostly positive reviews upon launch.

There’s no sign yet of Forza Horizon 6 landing on Switch 2 (or a release date for PS5, either) so this port seems well-timed for Nintendo fans who’ve had their fill of Mario Kart World. Ubisoft is expected to make The Crew Motorfest’s Nintendo Switch 2 edition official imminently, Dealabs reported, with more information to follow.

“The Crew Motorfest is a robust racer with a confident sense of style, but its smaller map lacks life, its multiplayer isn’t really worth the wait, and its omnipresent microtransaction opportunities are still tedious,” IGN wrote in our The Crew Motorfest review, which returned a 7/10.
