Grand Theft Auto 6 Is Already Bringing Back Characters from GTA 5

Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature at least one character from GTA Online.

In Rockstar’s extended look at GTA 6, fans were introduced to a bunch of characters with a wide range of morals. One character that fans probably overlooked is Valentina, a woman who was introduced last year in GTA Online. She makes her debut in a cutscene for the Money Fronts update, where she can be seen hopping off a private jet and interacting with Mr. Faber. While her role didn’t seem especially significant at the time, it looks like she’ll have a larger part to play in GTA 6.

The character hires Jason and Lucia to be security for a VIP who is attending a party that is inevitably disrupted by gun-wielding goons. It’s unclear if Valentina will have a larger role in GTA 6 outside of this mission, but it wouldn’t be surprising if she did. It also raises the question of what else, or who else, Rockstar has been planting in GTA Online all these years. Of course, fans are hopeful to see Michael, Franklin, and Trevor return in GTA 6, but it remains to be seen if that will actually happen.

GTA 5 and GTA Online featured a handful of characters from GTA 4, including Brucie, Karen, Packie, and more. It wouldn’t be surprising if Rockstar continues this same strategy and we see small side characters from the previous games in GTA 6. We likely won’t get definitive answers on this until release, but this small reveal will certainly lead to rampant speculation.

In related news, IGN has heaps of other GTA 6-related news following the extended look. We got an exclusive preview of the game, an interview with Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson, and a variety of breakdowns on the game’s various systems and details. Rockstar also confirmed that GTA 6 playthroughs can last as long as 80 hours, if not even longer, so you can expect to spend an outrageous amount of time in Leonida when the game releases in November.
