Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Release Date Announced — And Yes, You Can Play as a Korok

Nintendo has announced a release date for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, which will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 6, 2025.

This Hyrule Warriors sequel expands on the story glimpsed in The Legend of the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, with Zelda back in time meeting Hyrule’s earliest royalty.

A trailer shown during today’s major Nintendo Direct highlighted the game’s powerful sync-strikes mechanic, where two players can team up together to land devastating attacks.

Speaking of two players, there’s an option for two-player splitscreen co-op if you have a friend to hand. Alternatively, you can play multiplayer via GameShare, allowing a Switch 2 or original Switch owner to join in without owning a copy of the game themselves.
