Hellreaper is a new roguelike action platformer from developer Awesome Games Studio. In it, you play a former angel who is now the Hellreaper, aka a “mystical executioner sent to cull Hell’s endless hordes,” according to the developers. It’s in development for PC.
The roguelike gameplay loop means that each run is different, allowing – and really, requiring – you to vary your Hellreaper’s build and your approach. You’ll pick up weapons, abilities, and relics and combine them in ways that best suit your playstyle. Check out the reveal trailer above and the first screenshots in the gallery below.
Awesome Games says you’ll “explore nightmarish landscapes forged from fire, bone, and shadow — each run weaving new paths and hidden secrets.” You can wishlist Hellreaper on Steam if you’re interested.
