Arc Raiders servers have gone live, and following the historical trend of massive releases and server woes, players are running into an Online Connection Error thousands across PC and consoles flood in.
After booting up the game and attempting to connect to servers, a significant number of players have run into an error pop up that reads: “Online Connection Error. Online services are currently unavailable.” Other players have managed to squeeze through, leading some players stubbornly spamming the bright yellow retry button in hopes of gaining access.
In the hours prior to the game’s release on Steam, it shot up to the global number one ranking for Top Sellers on Steam. Within five minutes, over 100,000 concurrent players were in-game, an absurd number considering it’s a work day today lads.
As of writing there’s been no public statement on official Arc Raiders channels on this error, so if you’ve booked a day off or are thriving in a remote role, you might not be having as smooth an Arc Raiders experience as you’d hoped. Still, shaky server problems like this are part of the charm. Just ask anyone who was awake for World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor‘s launch.
