Arc Raiders players are getting free in-game currency following server problems earlier this week. These problems were caused by an influx of players that broke launch-day figures.
In a post on the Arc Raiders Discord server, Embark Studios community lead Ossen Julia stated: “Our team is working with determination to get you into those shuttles in a timely manner and we thank you for your patience while we’re fine-tuning the system. To show our appreciation, we’re sending you 500 Raider Tokens to use as you see fit.”
Arc Raiders launched to a whopping 130,000+ concurrent Steam players on its release day, growing even larger the following day. However, days later it reached a new peak of 354,836 concurrent players over the weekend, showing strong momentum and word of mouth for the extraction shooter.
It’s not the only favour Embark Studios has been doing for suffering players. Those who have been killed by cheaters have been getting their lost loot sent back to them, with the developers stating they’re: “committed to skill and fun, not unfair advantages”. This happened to me just this morning, and I’ve got to say, it does feel rather good to have an unfair death reversed.
