Battlefield Studios addresses annoying Battlefield 6 Season 3 bugs, including the mysterious black void, but many issues remain

Battlefield Studios has rolled out a new hotfix for Battlefield 6 players across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The small patch, version 1.3.2.1, went live Wednesday morning. This is the first client-side patch to arrive in response to the mess of bugs and issues that made their way into the game with the Season 3 mid-season update.

This week’s hotfix addresses two problems. First, the issue that caused the deploy screen cursor to dart all over the place, preventing players from being able to properly select a spawn point. Given the severity of the problem, and how widespread it has been, it made sense for Battlefield Studios to tackle it first.

The hotfix also addresses the issue preventing players from being able to install/uninstall different content packages like single-player, multiplayer, or Redsec. Previously, attempting to do so from within the game – rather than from the console front-end – would send you to a black void. That problem has now been addressed.

While people will no doubt be relieved to see the deploy screen bug fixed, several other issues remain. So many, in fact, Battlefield Studios posted a shortlist of the ones getting the most immediate attention prior to last weekend. A couple have thankfully been fixed in this week’s update, but the rest are under investigation.

As covered in our Battlefield 6 bug report from last week, there’s still an assortment of smaller, scattered issues that will likely take time to fix. Some, like the lighting bug in Redsec, will seemingly require more work to correctly get to the root of. Others, like misbehaving gadgets and broken game modes, will hopefully be corrected in the coming days.
