Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined Revealed With February 2026 Release Date

Square Enix revealed Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined with the promise of a February 5, 2026, release date during today’s September 2025 Nintendo Direct.

The remake of Dragon Quest 7: Fragments of the Forgotten Past showed up during today’s hour-long presentation with a trailer showing off a mix of gameplay and cinematic footage. It’s a video that promises a completely fresh art style for the JRPG classic with a release date that is only a few months away.

Reports that Square Enix was working on a Dragon Quest 7 remake emerged earlier this year. For more on everything announced during today’s September 2025 Nintendo Direct, you can click here.
