Microsoft has announced an Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Broadcast for later in September, where it will show off first-party games as well as issue updates from third-party publishers and developers.
The broadcast is set for Thursday, September 25 at 7pm JST (3am Pacific / 6am Eastern / 11am UK).
“The show will feature titles from our creative teams, alongside news from our partners in Japan, across Asia, and around the world,” Mena Kato, Senior Director, Xbox Asia, said in a post on Xbox Wire.
“We know players around the world delight in Japan-inspired content and games developed in Asia, and we can’t wait to connect with players across the globe to show off the incredible talent and creativity behind upcoming games coming to Xbox.”

So, what can we expect from the showcase? Microsoft said Ninja Gaiden 4 will be playable at TGS itself, so Koei Tecmo’s action game will no doubt appear during the showcase. The co-production between Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja and Bayonetta developer PlatinumGames is published by Xbox Game Studios. Microsoft will bring the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, two new gaming handhelds developed from Xbox and ASUS, to TGS, so again it seems like a safe bet that they will appear during the broadcast. Microsoft announced an October 2025 release date at gamescom 2025, but we still don’t have a price announcement. Perhaps that will come at TGS.
Meanwhile, Bethesda will co-host a merchandise booth with official merchandise for Fallout, Starfield, Doom, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion at TGS, so maybe Bethesda will issue some updates to its games during the broadcast.
But could Microsoft also have something even bigger up its sleeve for TGS? Fans believe Japan is the setting for Forza Horizon 6, and Xbox boss Phil Spencer recently confirmed that the next Forza game would arrive in 2026. Is Microsoft teasing a street racer reveal in its official TGS broadcast ‘visual identity,’ below?

Kato described it as follows: “Using an urban neon aesthetic, the design puts the viewer in a street scene that is distinctly Tokyo, with various signs illuminating the way, all featuring gaming and Xbox iconography (with a touch of Japanese culture included as well).”
