Halo: Campaign Evolved, one of Microsoft’s next big triple-A releases, just got a cool-looking cinematic story trailer. And all footage you’ll see in it has been captured on a PS5 Pro, of course.
The trailer takes you through the core experience of Halo: Campaign Evolved. There are plenty of cinematics to look at, some brief peeks at classic Halo gameplay, and even some shots of iconic original Halo environments reworked within the modern engine.
The trailer ends with a look at a bunch of pre-order bonuses you can get by dropping some cash early on Halo: Campaign Evolved. This includes some physical goodies like a statue, five days early access so you can re-experience the 25-year-old story earlier than other Halo fans, and some weapon and armour cosmetics for the single-player only game.
Snark aside, it’s not a huge surprise that this trailer was captured on a PS5 Pro. This year’s Summer Game Fest featured a substantial number of reveals captured on the system, nearly breaking the record for PS5 Pro representation since the console was revealed.
Halo: Campaign Evolved may be one of the last single-player Microsoft games headed to PlayStation platforms for the foreseeable future, courtesy of new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma’s push towards more console exclusives. Single player games which haven’t already been announced for the PS5 – like Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution – will be Xbox only from here on out. A bold move, for certain.
