PSA: Pokémon Legends: Z-A spoilers are out in the wild ahead of its release this week

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will release later this week on Switch and Switch 2, but already spoilers have flooded the internet.

Illegal ROM sites already have unauthorised copies of the full game, which has now been datamined for information.

As such, if you’re looking to avoid spoilers, we advise being extremely cautious on social media until the game’s release on Thursday, 16th October.

Thanks to dataminers, the complete Pokedex and all moves and items have leaked, including Mega Evolutions – on top of those officially revealed by The Pokémon Company.

What’s more, there are already numerous streamers playing the game on Twitch ahead of launch.

The release date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A was announced back in May, with confirmation the Switch 2 version would have “improved graphics and frame rates”.

The game is a follow-up to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, released back in 2022 as an action-RPG spin-off, which was praised for its novelty despite poor performance.

Eurogamer went hands-on with Pokémon Legends: Z-A last month, although Chris Tapsell wasn’t super impressed by its combat. “I’m looking forward to seeing more of [the wider city], to following what’ll no doubt be another oddball but quietly affecting story, and to digging into the finer points of its battles for any hidden strategy within,” he wrote. “In the meantime, I’m a little skeptical as to whether Pokémon’s real-time reinvention is really for the best.”
