Rayman fans rejoice! His first ever adventure is getting a fancy 30th anniversary edition and it’s out very soon

Beloved limb-flinging video game mascot Rayman is 30 this year, and Ubisoft is celebrating the occasion with a special edition of his first ever adventure – and it’s out on PS5 tomorrow, 13th February.

This isn’t the first we’ve heard of a Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition, of course – it initially surfaced earlier this year in a listing on the Australian Classification Board website. Just a few weeks on, though, Ubisoft has made it official.

Developed by Digital Eclipse – the studio behind the acclaimed Gold Master Series of interactive digital museums – Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition is described as the “definitive edition” of the 1995 platform classic. It features a number of different versions of the game, including those designed for handheld, alongside 120 additional levels taken from Rayman’s New Levels, Rayman 60 Levels, and Rayman by His Fans.

It also promises a reimagined soundtrack by composer Christophe Héral, plus a range of optional quality of life enhancements including a 60-second rewind feature, multiple save slots, instant level unlock, and infinite lives. And for a deeper dive into its creation, Digital Eclipse has included a never-before-playable prototype, original concept art, sketches, design documents, and 50 minutes of new interviews.

Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition’s digital release comes to PS5 on 13th February, with a physical version due this June. An earlier leak suggested it’s also Switch-bound, so I’ll update this story if more platforms are confirmed. As for the future of Rayman, Ubisoft previously revealed its Montpellier and Milan teams have something cooking, but that we shouldn’t expect news about it “too soon”.
