Styx: Blades of Greed delayed into 2026, to ensure the “best possible version of the experience”

Styx: Blades of Greed – the next entry in Cyanide Studio’s infiltration series, which plops players into the shoes of a caustic goblin – will now release next year.

“Over the past months, the team has been pushing hard to bring this game to the level it deserves,” the studio wrote, with a new release date trailer you can see further below in this article. “We’ve been polishing systems, tightening the stealth and combat loops, and making sure every area feels as sharp and atmospheric as it should.

“With this extra time, we can deliver the best possible version of the experience we’ve been building.”

Cyanide Studio said it was “incredibly proud” of the work it has achieved so far, and it is now “even more motivated for the final stretch” of Styx: Blades of Greed’s development. “Thank you for sticking with us,” it closed. “Your support genuinely fuels the team.”

Styx: Blades of Greed was initially set to release this year, but that date has now moved to 19th February, 2026. When it does arrive, it will be available across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Blades of Greed all kicks off after the events of Styx: Shards of Darkness, though the developer has said you won’t need to have played any of the previous entries to still enjoy the upcoming release.

I actually got to go hands-on with Styx: Blades of Greed earlier this year, and while I wasn’t very good at it (in fact, I was terrible), I had an absolute blast playing as the titular Styx and causing all sorts of chaos for those that got in my way.
