The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu Sets Co-op Horror Survival for Summer 2026 With Fresh Gameplay Trailer

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu materialized at the Xbox Partner Preview to deliver the news that it’s coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S summer 2026.

It’s a narrowing of the previously promised release window, which had publisher Nacon and developer ACE Team prepped to deliver its four-player horror co-op vision at some point next year. As its gameplay trailer demonstrates, players will need to work together if they want to survive the Lovecraftian nightmares that lie waiting in The Mound.

Nacon and ACE announced The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu during the March Nacon Connect, revealing the project as a first-person experience set in a jungle with the capacity to twist the minds of any who enters. Players are given weapons and tools to make each trek easier, but the real pull is the mind games that will have friends turning against each other.

“The Mound is inspired by the stories of H.P. Lovecraft with their oppressive and unpredictable atmospheres,” an official description says. “Here, the supernatural forces don’t just hunt you down: they distort your perception of every situation to throw you off balance. Faced with diabolical creatures and unexplained phenomena, the border that separates reality from illusion blurs, sowing doubt and paranoia among your group.”

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is set to release next summer.
