The Top 10 Most Expensive Perfect Order Cards Ranked by Market Price

The Top 10 Most Expensive Perfect Order Cards Ranked by Market Price

Perfect Order is out now, but which Pokémon cards should you be hunting for if you’re looking to pull a profit?

The reception to this smaller set has been lukewarm, mainly due to the fact that it only has 120 unique cards to collect, with no typical chase cards.

But that’s not to say this new Pokémon’s expansion is completely worthless! These 10 cards are the most expensive pulls you can find in Perfect Order, based on current third-party resell information, such as TCGplayer.

10. Meowth ex – 107/088

Coming in at 10 is the Meowth ex (Ultra Rare) – a cute, cheery Meowth designed by 5ban Graphics. Currently, a Near Mint Holofoil copy will set you back about $23.13 on TCGPlayer, which isn’t bad considering a massive 294 cards have already been sold since launch.

Meowth is the unofficial star of Perfect Order; this won’t be the only time you see this purrfect friend on this list. With the recent debut of Gigantamax Meowth in Pokémon GO, and the lasting cheekiness of this Generation 1 favourite, it might be worth getting in on this card now ahead of any price spikes. Sadly, there’s no Pickup ability shortcuts to finding this card!

9. Poke Pad – 113/088

Poke Pad – 113/088

Next up is Poke Pad, which has seen a major drop of -37.84% recently – $22.19, down from a high sale of $44.56.

You might immediately wince at that price crash, but there’s a simple reason. While reception to Perfect Order has been frosty from fans, there’s one saving grace – reprints. Before Perfect Order, the only way to get the Poke Pad was through Ascended Hero products, which most people are having a hard time finding on shelves.

If you’re looking for a return on investment, skip it. But if you’re looking to win your next local, it’s the best $22 you’ll spend. The Poke Pad is forming a key part of the current meta – it lets you search your deck for any Pokémon that doesn’t have a “Rule Box” (meaning no Pokémon ex or V), reveal it, and add it to your hand. Handy!

8. Jacinthe – 122/088

Jacinthe – 122/088

Despite her debut in Legends: Z-A, Jacinthe is suffering from ‘New Character Syndrome’ – collectors are prioritizing legacy icons like Meowth over fresh faces. It currently holds a market price of $29.53, with highs of $56.25 but a baffling low of $5.00. Actual sale history isn’t widely available, so you can only guess why the market is treating this trainer with such hesitation.

7. Clefairy – 094/088

Clefairy is one of the only cards to see a price increase since launch, now going for $34.39, which is an 8.55% jump. With a market price of $32.53, that’s not bad at all for an Illustration Rare-tier card. It could be a sleeper hit thanks to the gorgeous art of Natsumi Yoshida – who could resist adding this cute card to their collection?

6. Mega Clefable ex

While it saw a high sale price of $149.99 early on, Mega Clefable ex is settling around a $72.99 market price. There are already over 70 listings on the major marketplaces, meaning it is likely to drop even more, despite being one of the nicest card designs in the set. Shout out to artist Cona Nitanda for the work here, even if investors are getting cold feet.

5. Mega Starmie ex

Mega Starmie ex is a hilarious design that shouldn’t work, yet it’s currently stamping its way toward the $150 mark as fans embrace the absurdity of the new Z-A Megas. With a market price of $75.62, this ridiculous sought-after card is seemingly one of Perfect Order’s rarest cards. Surprisingly enough, despite being one of the only new Megas and the positive fan reception, it’s just barely in the top five on this list.

4. Rosa’s Encouragement

Rosa's Encouragement

Rosa’s Encouragement

As speculation that Unova remakes are looming on the horizon begins to pick up steam, fans are finally giving Black 2 and White 2 the flowers they deserve. This nostalgia, plus the great artwork, makes Rosa’s Encouragement an obvious choice for a high-tier chase card in Perfect Order. A Near Mint Holofoil is currently going for $85.62 on TCGPlayer, and while it’s seen highs of $174.95, 96 copies have already sold. It seems like a fairly common card by SIR standards, keeping the price from exploding just yet.

Unlike some chase cards that are just pretty to look at, Rosa’s Encouragement is actually good. It has a direct damage-boosting synergy with the new Serperior, and its ability to accelerate energy to Stage 2 Pokémon makes it enticing for competitive play.

3. Mega Zygarde ex

The top three cards from Perfect Order finally break the $100 point, starting with Mega Zygarde ex. Mega Zygarde is the official star of this set – sorry Meowth. This saw a $189.99 highest sale price in the last week, but it is currently settling around a $111.64 market price, representing a 20.40% dip. While Mega Zygarde is the star of the show for Perfect Order, it seems to be a bit more common than Meowth in terms of resale listings. There are about 42 of them on TCGPlayer right now, with an average price sitting at around $130 USD.

2. Meowth ex

Surprise! It’s Meowth again. The real star of Perfect Order is the Special Illustration Rare Meowth ex. Its highest sold price is $170.00 on TCGPlayer, and it is currently settling around a $139.35 market price, outperforming Mega Zygarde ex. Who’s the cat’s pyjamas now?

It’s likely to settle somewhere in the $100 zone in the next few weeks.

1. Mega Zygarde ex

Unsurprisingly, the one and only Mega Hyper Rare from Perfect Order snags the top spot for the most expensive chase card. It has hit $221.99 on TCGPlayer, with a current market price of $185.04. No matter what you think of the all-gold design, there’s no denying it’s a flex. However, when you compare it to the Mega Hyper Rares in Ascended Heroes, it’s actually a bit more affordable, suggesting the pull rates might be slightly more forgiving this time around.

If you’re looking to pull these cards yourself, your best bet is to hunt for Booster Boxes at your local game store, as they offer the most consistent pull rates for the price. Elite Trainer Boxes are great for the extras, but the Perfect Order Booster Boxes are where the real fun is had.

Where to Buy Perfect Order – Sealed Products

The pulse of Lumiose City is racing, and for good reason! Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution – Perfect Order is now available, and this gorgeous new set continues the Mega Evolution hype of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, bringing Mega Zygarde ex into the spotlight.
