Street Fighter 6’s Ingrid gets gameplay trailer

A new Street Fighter 6 gameplay trailer has been released, showing off the move list for upcoming DLC character Ingrid.

The trailer, which takes fighting game fans through her whole suite of attacks, presents the returning character in a new light. First introduced in Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, Ingrid has a bold new look and various powerful-looking new abilities. These include lasers, teleports, and aerial strikes. From this short trailer, which you can watch below, she appears to be able to convert intense ranged pressure into high-flying combos.

Ingrid, the final character in Street Fighter 6’s Year 3 DLC character pass, also has a classic outfit that swaps out her modern outfit for the original schoolgirl-style outfit. It also appears as though she can taunt mid-match, transforming into a small floating companion who can shoot lasers from the air.

There’s also some additional flavour added to the Steam news post released alongside the trailer. In it, Ingrid re-introduces herself and makes a gag or two. It reads: “Hello there, Terrans! Ingrid here to talk to you directly about how wonderful I’m going to be when I join the Street Fighter 6 roster on May 28! Wow, we’re already on the sixth installment. Feels like just a few seconds ago when I graced you with my presence, albeit not in any mainline series.

“How do you Terrans say it? ‘It’s been a long time coming’ and some obsession with the numbers ‘6 7’ that you all started saying. Sigh, Terran civilisation has a long, long road ahead of it.”

This trailer comes shortly after a bit of Street Fighter 6 drama surrounding Alex, the prior DLC character release whose in-game story raised eyebrows due to his weird story mode shenanigans. As long as Ingrid doesn’t start marrying members of her family, things should go more smoothly this time around.

Ingrid is set to release on the 28th May, 2026. Following her release, the next expected chunk of news will of course be the Year 4 DLC character pass, which is expected to be announced later this year. There has been ample speculation and a few leaks about who will be coming next, and with Ingrid’s interdimensional powers, maybe it opens the door to some guest characters? We’ll see.
