Survivaton Revealed by Vampire Survivors Developer

Vampire Survivors developer Poncle is mixing its laidback shoot-’em-up gameplay with one of the most popular anime out there for a new game called Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton.

The unexpected collaboration made its debut at today’s Nintendo Direct. With the original Vampire Survivors and this year’s Vampire Crawlers now under its belt, Poncle is looking to Yuji Itadori to help fight off a never-ending army of cursed spirits.

The first trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton should absolutely look familiar to fans of the studio’s previous work. Instead of classic ghouls and ghosts, it gets a Jujutsu Kaisen facelift while still retaining that pixelated style and one-more-run gameplay that helped Vampire Survivors become so popular. It’s a multiplayer anime spin on a tried-and-true formula, and you can see its Nintendo Direct reveal trailer below.

“Players battle wave after wave of cursed spirits while competing against up to seven rivals in fast-paced online multiplayer matches,” an official description for Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton said. “Choose from 20+ playable characters from the Jujutsu Kaisen universe and use simple movement-based controls with automatic attacks, where success depends on strategic positioning and timing. Players earn points by defeating enemies, unlock game-changing ‘Rule Additions’ every 100 points, and compete for the top spot in dynamic rankings.

“The experience culminates in a final duel between the top two players. JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON readies for battle on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.”

With more than 20 playable characters from across the Jujutsu Kaisen universe to play as, we can almost certainly expect to see loads of fan-favorite names. The trailer teased more than a few, too, including Yuji, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Toge Inumaki, Kento Nanami, Yuta Okkotsu, and, of course, Satoru Gojo.

TBD on how robust the single-player offerings in Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton are, but its trailer at least confirmed that there is an offline mode with computer-controlled opponents. Its price and release date have not been revealed outside of Poncle’s promise to launch before the year is out.

In addition to Nintendo Switch 2, Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton is set to come to PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Whenever it does release, it should help with the wait for The Culling Game Part 2 after the Jujutsu Kaisen anime left fans waiting for more with the end of Season 3 earlier this year. For all of the biggest reveals shown during today’s showcase, you can see everything announced at the Nintendo Direct for June 2026 right here.
