Nintendo has denied that The Duskbloods will be releasing on the 24th September, after the date was included in an early preview of the game.
This date was featured at the end of The Guardian’s preview coverage, written as part of a trip to Tokyo to play it in advance of this weekend’s upcoming network test.
Curiously, other publications seemingly on the trip do not include the release date, instead stating it will be released later this year. Eurogamer contacted Nintendo to confirm the validity of this date, and received this response from an official spokesperson from Nintendo:
“The release date is inaccurate because there is no information regarding [the] release date of the Duskbloods.”
This date-reveal comes one day before a closed network test, which members of the public were able to sign up for following a Nintendo Direct trailer last month. It also comes as leaked gameplay footage appeared online earlier today, which was re-uploaded to social media platform Bilibili before being taken down again.
