Magic: The Gathering bundles used to be called “fat packs” that offered a few boosters but without needing the investment of a whole booster box.
They’re pretty great, really, offering nine Play Boosters, a handy storage box, and some extra goodies (I just recently picked one up for The Hobbit), and Amazon has discounted the Marvel Super Heroes box by 15% if you’re keen.
Magic’s Marvel Fat Pack Just Got a Surprise Discount
The Marvel Super Heroes bundle would usually set you back $69.99, but with this discount it’s down by about $10 to $59.31.
It includes 9 Play Boosters, 30 lands, a foil alternative art promo cuddle, and an exclusive die. You don’t save a ton (the packs alone would be $62.91), but you are getting those added bonuses.
If you know someone super keen on the Marvel set (pun absolutely intended), then you’re able to get them a fair amount of cardboard for your $59 and change.
You can also grab the Gift Edition, which includes a Collector Booster, but that’s still sitting at $89.98. Other than the Collector Booster, however, it’s a very similar product.
As for the set as a whole, it’s still Standard legal despite the launch of The Hobbit. It’s pretty solid, too, doing a lot of hard work to erase the bad taste of Marvel’s Spider-Man from late last year.
