Tides of Annihilation Confirms Angela Sant’Albano as New Voice of Gwendolyn

Tides of Annihilation has confirmed Resident Evil Requiem actress Angela Sant’Albano as the new voice of Gwendolyn.

Eclipse Glow Games announced the news at gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL) 2026. It came with a new trailer for the highly anticipated Arthurian action-RPG, giving Tides of Annihilation fans a taste of Sant’Albano’s new take on Gwendolyn.

“In the trailer, a distraught Gwendolyn considers her new reality amidst the ash of a ruinous London before being encouraged by the legendary Guinevere to harness the power of the Fog – a power only King Arthur once wielded – to save both London and the otherworldly realm of Avalon from total annihilation,” an official description said. “Embracing her destiny, Gwendolyn takes up the sword and learns to fight alongside powerful spectral knights; this new trailer debuts the legendary Sir Lancelot summoned by Gwendolyn to dispatch enemies in spectacular style.”

Sant’Albano is a star with a resume that includes parts in The Nevers, and Disney’s live-action Dumbo movie, but the gaming world is still celebrating her for the part she played in Resident Evil Requiem. She showed up in Capcom’s ninth mainline installment as Grace Ashcroft, a newcomer to the series with a shaky voice and deadly aim.

Despite half of the last Resident Evil being carried by fan-favorite zombie-slayer Leon S. Kennedy, Sant’Albano helped Grace emerge as yet another one of the series’ memorable characters. Now, she’s officially set to help do the same for Tides of Annihilation.

“I am beyond thrilled—and deeply honored—to officially announce that I’m stepping into the role of Gwendolyn in Tides of Annihilation,” Sant’Albano said in a statement. “Gwen is the kind of heroine I love. She carries self-doubt, constantly questioning whether she’s enough, but she refuses to let fear make her stand still. Everything she does is driven by love for her sister and her homeland, and I think that’s what makes her strength feel so human. Getting to step into her boots, facing otherworldly demigods, and commanding Knights of the Round Table has been an absolute privilege.”

Sant’Albano is officially joining the cast of another game that has players excited, but her part may not come as a shock to those who have kept up with all of the updates. When former Gwendolyn actress Jennifer English announced she would be stepping away from the role due to health concerns, rumors about who would take her place immediately began to spread.

The Resident Evil Requiem star was one of the first names to spread among fans. When some fans noticed some character models had seemingly been changed, rumors only heated up.

Eclipse Glow has also announced Tides of Annihilation will support Brazilian Portuguese when it eventually launches. That brings its supported languages up to 11, including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Korean, Russian. Additionally, gamescom attendees have been told that they’ll be able to enjoy a hands-on demo.

Tides of Annihilation currently has no release date but is expected to launch for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. IGN previewed the game last week and walked away impressed by its combat but hoping for some movement tweaks. While we wait for additional updates, you can check out everything announced at gamescom ONL 2026.
