TimTheTatman Turned Down Six Figure Deal to Stream Arc Raiders Because He Hates it So Much

TimTheTatman has revealed that he turned down an eye-watering amount of money for a sponsored Arc Raiders stream.

The streamer was speaking candidly to his audience during a September 2 broadcast when he revealed that he’d turned down a six-figure deal to play Arc Raiders on stream for four hours. While the exact dollar amount is unknown, hundreds of thousands of dollars to play a game for an afternoon is an absolutely baffling amount of money. TimTheTatman stated that he had such an unpleasant experience with the game that even a jaw-dropping amount of cash couldn’t bring him back.

“For me, the game frustrated me so much, I got frustrated so much with that game that I don’t want to play it ever again,” he said. “Even to a point where six figures didn’t get me back on it.”

He joked that a seven-figure deal would be enough to make him get over his frustrations and play the game, but ultimately, it’s not an experience he wants to revisit. Arc Raiders was one of the biggest games of 2025, but it has gradually declined over the last year. The game launched in a hyper-competitive window alongside the likes of Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, but managed to capture a strong, supportive fan base at launch.

The game peaked with 465,000 concurrents on Steam in December 2025, two months after release, but things began to decline shortly after this. Arc Raiders players began to complain about a lack of meaningful new content and updates, causing players to lose interest. Eventually, Embark Studios confirmed that Arc Raiders would only get two major updates a year going forward and unfortunately, the studio just recently delayed future expeditions until 2027.

Naturally, some fans just aren’t happy with the state of Arc Raiders. That lack of interest seems to be rubbing off on content creators who can’t even muster some fake enthusiasm for a paycheck, it seems.
