Back to Hogwarts is celebrated every year on September 1. This is the day that prospective Witches and Wizards board the Hogwarts Express, arrive at school, and enjoy a welcome feast alongside the Sorting Ceremony. For those not going to Hogwarts this year, the celebration is mostly about announcements and discounts on popular Potter merch.
If you’re in the market for the latter, there are a number of Harry Potter gifts on sale this week. I’ve gathered the best deals right here for you to check out for yourself.
Most of the deals I’ve listed here are related to LEGO. The LEGO Store is currently running a big Back to Hogwarts promotion that includes a discount on the popular Diagon Alley set. We have this build on our list of the best LEGO Harry Potter sets you can buy right now, and LEGO has the lowest price we’ve ever seen on it. It’s currently on backorder at the LEGO Store, but you can get it at Amazon for a couple bucks more if you want it faster.
Alongside individual discounts, the LEGO Store is offering double points on all Harry Potter purchases. There’s also a new exclusive The Ministry of Magic – Collectors’ Edition set now available that is one of the most expensive LEGO releases for September.

Other than LEGO sets, there are also discounts on the 4K Blu-ray versions of the films. The eight-film collection is on sale for a decent price, but it’s the newer 11-film collection that has the best discount right now. This collection came out back in May 2026 and combines the original Harry Potter movies with the three Fantastic Beast films in one big box set. This is the first major discount on this collection we’ve seen since it was first released.

Last but not least, we have the PS5 version of the LEGO Harry Potter Collection. Having played these games myself I can tell you right now that these games are very simple, but also quite fun. You get to make your way through a brick-built version of the movies and discover hidden Easter Eggs all over the place. The collection combines the Years 1-4 and Years 5-7 games into one purchase, both of which IGN gave positive review scores. At $19.99, this is a good price for a physical PS5 game in this day and age.

What About Book Deals?
There are almost always deals on Harry Potter books going on, but I couldn’t find any that were particularly good right now. Even with Labor Day sales the Barnes & Noble Book Haul sale going on this week, there just doesn’t seem to be any new price cuts worthy of mentioning.
That’s especially true if you’re looking for deals on any of the many Harry Potter illustrated editions. You’ll likely have to wait for a different upcoming sale if you want to save on those hefty tomes. The new illustrated version of The Half-Blood Prince is coming out next month, after which there will probably be some deals again.
