The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Spiritual Stones are also available as a free bonus when preordering the game from Nintendo’s UK Store.

You can also preorder with an Ocarina of Time Pin for a small additional cost: £61.98 for the physical edition or £52.98 for the digital edition.

As a reminder, all copies of the game in its first print run will include a “textured foil cover sleeve” that is shiny. It sounds simple, but plenty of fans are going mad for it.

I’ve also had it confirmed that Smyths will definitely have the foiled sleeve as part of its preorder campaign, if that’s your prefered place to shop.

While it’s still easy to get hold of Ocarina of Time for Switch 2, Zelda’s 40th Anniversary console and accessories are a different story.

It’s sold out at Nintendo and Smyths right now (which is a similar story globally), but we’re still awaiting news from Amazon, Argos, Currys, and other major UK retailers to see if there another opportunity to preorder.

What Is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake?

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a full remake of the 1998 Nintendo 64 original, with completely overhauled graphics designed to bring the classic adventure up to modern standards.

Rather than adding a large amount of new content, Nintendo describes the game as a “faithful interpretation” of the original built for modern hardware. There are some additions, however, including more dialogue for the characters Link encounters throughout his adventure, giving them a little more personality.

The remake also introduces several quality-of-life improvements, including a fully free-roaming camera, a dedicated jump button, a roll/run button, and motion-control aiming. Cutscenes will feature full voice acting, while the Zelda Notes app can also be used alongside the game.

There’s even an audio input option that lets you hum the game’s songs, allowing Link to play them in-game. A new “Threads of Time” menu will also recap your progress and highlight your current objective, making it easier to keep track of where you’ve been and what you need to do next.
