Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Picks Up Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 Port With November Release Date

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is flying over to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 with a November 14, 2025, release date.

Bandai Namco announced its port plans during today’s July 2025 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. The news comes alongside a gameplay trailer, below, showing what it will be like to control Goku, Vegeta, Perfect Cell, and the rest of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero’s roster of 180 characters on Switch consoles.

Today’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase reveal comes with a breakdown of some of the other modes and offerings featured in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. These include Episode Battle Mode, which allows players to relive – or remix – iconic moments from across the Dragon Ball franchise, and Custom Battle Mode.

Interestingly, players on Switch and Switch 2 can also use Joy-Con motion controls while using their Super Saiyan abilities. The example shown in today’s Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero trailer highlights motion control functionality when using Goku’s Spirit Bomb.

“Triumph over your foes in high-speed, 360-degree movement battles with teams of up to five characters from across Dragon Ball history,” Nintendo’s description reads. “Featuring the largest roster in franchise history with over 180 playable characters, players can relive iconic moments by attacking with a mixture of punches, kicks, grapples, and long-range abilities — and charge up your energy to activate Sparking! Mode, which grants your character access to their signature devastating attack.”

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero launched for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S in October 2024 and (following a leak in April), will launch for Switch and Switch 2 this November.
