Yesterday, we got the news that Bloodborne was being turned into an animated feature film, with popular YouTuber JackSepticEye taking on the role of a producer. Now, the Irish personality has uploaded a video about his involvement on the project, and I have to say, his enthusiasm is pretty infectious.
In the video, JackSepticEye called the upcoming Bloodborne animation the “honour of [his] life”, and it’s clearly something he isn’t taking on lightly.

“I live and breathe FromSoftware games, but Bloodborne specifically is my top-tier, highest echelon of game,” he enthused. “I have a tattoo of the Hunter’s Mark on my body. I have giant statues of the Hunter and Eileen behind me. I have a tiny lamp of the Messengers behind me, because I absolutely adore this franchise.
“Bloodborne is like the thing that I wake up and play video games for. It is the top of the top. It is the most exciting thing ever to be able to announce this.”
JackSepticEye stressed that he is not writing or directing the animated Bloodborne feature, and his role is strictly that of producer. However, he will “fight tooth and nail” to make the adaptation the “best it can possibly be” from his “standpoint”, which as a fellow fan of the game I am reassured to hear (not that anyone sets out to make something the worst it can be, but even so).
“I promise you, I am not going into this and taking it lightly,” the YouTuber continued, “I know what an absolute gigantic honour this is… this is something I am going to pour everything that I have into.” JackSepticEye even referred to the Bloodborne project as his “North Star”, which is quite the statement.
You can check out his very impassioned video in full below.
As we reported yesterday, the upcoming Bloodborne animated feature will be just as gruesome and violent as the game it is based on. Allegedly, the involved parties are all going to “embrace the carnage” that made Bloodborne so popular. They better get Eileen the Crow’s voice juuuuust right, though, because she is iconic.
