Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Adding Fresh Ending, Unlocked if You Finish New Game Plus

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Adding Fresh Ending, Unlocked if You Finish New Game Plus

A special update for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will add an additional scene to the game’s ending, as well as a New Game Plus option.

The update is due tomorrow, October 10, on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S and comes in celebration of developer MachineGames’ 15-year anniversary.

In a video, below, MachineGames production director John Jennings said the update was designed to address several key pieces of feedback from fans on the highly-acclaimed game.

A New Game Plus option has been much-requested, and as of tomorrow will allow you to replay the game with your previously-found Adventure Books unlocked, as well as any unredeemed Adventure Points, Medicine Bottles and local currency. It’s a timely addition, too, as it will allow you to replay the full game including its Order of the Giants DLC (if you own that), wrapped into the game’s wider Vatican City portion.

The mode has a some all-new content too, including an additional scene found when you’ve beaten New Game Plus. “You’ll discover a brand-new ending sequence following the credits,” Jennings teased, revealing nothing more of what it might entail.

In response to fans asking why Indy wears his thick leather jacket in the deserts of Giza, MachineGames is adding a jacketless Cairo outfit, modelled after the adventurer’s look in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Other changes coming in the patch include the ability to mix and match voice and text languages, and a power-saving mode while the game is idle on Xbox Series X/S (other platforms to follow).

So, what might the game’s new ending scene contain? Fans keen for more Indiana Jones adventures from MachineGames will likely be on the lookout for any clues to a full sequel, which seems something of a sure bet considering the game’s warm reception. Will we see more of Locus? Will the game’s existing Antarctica tease be expanded upon? Race you to the ending to find out.
