Kingdom Come Salvation may be the next Medieval RPG from Warhorse, and it could have some sort of multi-player functionality, too

It looks like we’ve had our first hint as to what we can expec next from the Kingdom Come stuido, Warhorse. We only heard back in May this year that a third Kingdom Come RPG may be released sooner we expected, and it seems like the barely-announced title already has a name.

Spotted by Australian site Phrasemaker. A new trademark for a game called Kingdom Come Salvation was field on 23rd July to the European Union’s Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The listing includes a graphic matching the font that Warhorse uses for the Kingdom Come IP. Add to that the “computer gaming software” and “entertainment services for matching users with computer games” and it looks like a pretty solid lock for the next game in the series. It should be noted that Warhorse Studios is not listed anywhere in the filing, however the origin of the claim is from Czechia, where the studio is located.

Moreover, there are a few hints towards online connectivity in the filing, beyond that second quote listed above. Elsewhere in the filing, we see wording pertaining to “provision of on-line computer games; game services provided online from a computer network; electronic games services provided by means of a global communication network; providing information on-line relating to computer games and computer enhancements for games; providing online music, not downloadable; providing films, not downloadable, via video-on-demand services; providing online videos, not downloadable; providing online electronic publications, not downloadable.”

Does this suggest that the next game might feature some sort of online aspect? Maybe in the form of either co-op or some sort of player-versus-player arena? Warhorse has previously referred to the game as “a new Kingdom Come adventure” and as a “Kingdom Come open-world RPG”. That doesn’t exclude any multiplayer facets, of course, but it’ll be an interesting pivot for the single-player specialists to make.

We may not have to wait too long to find out. “If everything goes right, [the next Kingdom Come game] comes next fiscal year,”communications director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling said during a community stream, “which means you don’t have to wait seven years for another Kingdom Come. That is good!” Given that Warhorse is currently in financial year 26/27, its next financial year (which will be 27/28) runs 1st April 2027 to 31st March 2028. Expect a release date in that time.

We know there’s definitely an appetite for whatever the studio is cooking up: Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 which has sold 5m copies and counting, and there is also a movie in the works.
