Ocarina of Time Remake Fully Revealed, Release Date Announced

Ocarina of Time Remake Fully Revealed, Release Date Announced

Nintendo has finally shown off its upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, and revealed it will launch on November 5.

Yes, Nintendo is launching a big video game in the same month as Grand Theft Auto 6 — and is one of the very few publishers seemingly happy to risk doing so.

This new version of Nintendo’s legendary N64 adventure has been remade from the ground-up for Switch 2, with a remarkable new 3D visual style that looks quite unlike any other Zelda game in the past. Other more modern advancements have also been made, such as being able to manually jump, dash, quickly switch between items, or aim via motion controls.

A new menu feature, the Threads of Time, will act as a quest log and a tapestry-like showcase of your exploits so far.

The main structure of the game appears to be largely unchanged, and different regions of Hyrule remain distinct areas with loading screens as you pass between them. A few extra areas were teased in places like Castle Town, with minigames within shops.

One cool new feature is the ability to actually hum the Ocarina songs that Link plays rather than use button prompts to enter them. And, of course, a physical Ocarina accessory will be available for you to play
