Pokémon 40,000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle — Where to Buy and How Much It Costs

Ravensburger has officially opened preorders for its enormous Pokémon “Celebration” jigsaw, a staggering 40,320-piece set that costs $730 and spans over 22 ft in length.

It ranks among the biggest officially licensed Pokémon collectibles you can find, and, according to Ravensburger, is “one of the world’s largest officially licensed puzzles” ever released.

Release Date: October 7, 2026.

This isn’t the first colossal jigsaw puzzle that Ravensburger has developed, either, as it also has a “Memorable Disney Moments” puzzle of the same size as the upcoming Pokémon set, at 40,320 pieces.

By comparison, according to the Guinness World Records, the “Most pieces in a jigsaw puzzle” record is currently 551,232. This was completed by 1,600 students of the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with an overall measurement of 14.85 x 23.20 m (48 ft 8.64 in x 76 ft 1.38 in).

The world’s largest commercially available puzzle is “What a Wonderful World” by Dowdle, featuring 60,000 pieces and spanning 8 ft by 29 ft. Made up of sixty separate 1,000-piece puzzles, it costs around $1299.

While the $730 price tag is undeniably steep for the massive Pokémon puzzle, it makes sense considering the scale of what’s included.

Rather than one giant bag of over 40,000 pieces, the set is divided into ten individual 4,000-piece puzzles. Each section features a different iconic Pokémon alongside a memorable location from across the Pokémon universe, making it possible to tackle the project one piece at a time before combining everything into a single giant display.

Once fully assembled, the completed puzzle measures an incredible 6.8 metres long by 1.92 metres high, or roughly 22.3 feet by 6.3 feet. Unless you happen to have an unusually large games room, you’ll probably need to clear some serious floor space before even thinking about putting it together.

Ravensburger, regarded as one of the industry’s leading puzzle manufacturers, notes that the pricey set includes “premium” and “sustainable” quality pieces. It also suggested that this giant set is tackled by those aged 14 and up, while also labelling it as an “adult” puzzle.

For Pokémon fans, it’s certainly one of the more unusual collectibles to arrive this year.

If you’re tempted to take on what may be the ultimate Pokémon challenge, besides catching them all, preorders are now live for $729.99 at Amazon, with a now confirmed October 7, 2026 release date for those in the U.S.
