Not only is today Magic: The Gathering’s official launch day for the latest Universe Beyond set, The Hobbit (with discounts already live for booster boxes at Amazon), but it’s also part of Best Buy’s latest massive “Deal of the Day” sale.
For 24 hours only, on August 14, fans can save up to 50% on a whole slew of Magic: The Gathering sets, with some absolutely outstanding offers on even the most recent releases.
I’m convinced a whole lot of this is going to sell out fast, as the prices are so good, so I’d get moving on these ASAP. Lock in your orders at Best Buy while you still can, as not only is your time limited, but stock is likely to be extremely limited as well.
Highlights include the recently released Marvel Super Heroes Scene Boxes for just $19.99. That’s $22 savings, and one hell of a bargain. The catch? You can’t pick what scene box you want! I know, it’s madness, but that’s what you’ll have to deal with to take advantage of this insane offer.
There’s no real way around this either, as you can’t request a certain box from Best Buy. It really does seem like they want you to buy three or four to maximise your chances, but you’ll probably be happier with just buying one to avoid any disappointment.
There’s also $20 off the TMNT Turtle Power Commander Deck, bringing it down to below market price at $49.99. Plenty of other great precon decks are also included, some of which are several of the best of recent releases this year, including Witherbloom Pestilence for $41.99, Lorehold Spirit for $34.99, and $24.99 for the other two Secrets of Strixhaven decks.
There’s also Draft Night bundles down to $75 for both Secrets of Strixhaven and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, both of which also include a valuable Collector Booster Pack alongside 12 Play Boosters and 90 Land cards.
For those looking for deals outside of Best Buy, I already mentioned that the new Hobbit set’s Play Booster display is down to $189.99 at Amazon, $20 off its list price for launch day.
There’s also more deals for the other recently released Universes Beyond set, Marvel Super Heroes, with the Commander Deck bundle now down to just $184.99, a staggering $115 discount on the original price. That works out at $46.25 for all four decks, which retail for $75 each.
Finally, there’s also the Marvel Super Heroes Bundle, which released a bit later than the rest of the set, in July, and includes nine Play Boosters, 30 Lands, a Foil Alt-Art Promo Card and loads of exclusive accessories for $59.98, down from $69.99.
