Big Walk strides to sales success, passing an impressive milestone in under one week

Developer House House’s collaborative puzzle-solving and hangout game par excellence, Big Walk, has found encouraging commercial success. Publisher Panic announced on Bluesky that it’s already passed 1m sales.

“In just six days, over one million of you have bought Big Walk, our co-op adventure all about talking and walking,” Panic wrote. “We are so grateful that so many of you are spending time with our game. And we deeply appreciate your fanart, your streams, your stories, and your moments.”

This appears to be across all platforms, PC (Steam), PlayStation and Switch 2.

Big Walk received a big fat five golden stars in Eurogamer’s review. “The Untitled Goose Game team returns with a funny, exciting, and deeply rewarding multiplayer adventure that combines knockabout fun with some surprisingly big ideas,” Chris Schilling wrote.

The game itself is for two to 12 people and revolves around the theme of communication – using proximity voice chat or text – to solve group puzzles. But it’s also a game about just being together with people in a world and what you choose to do there. It’s open-ended, which is why it’s tricky to explain.

And I know what you might be thinking: ‘That sounds interesting but I’ve no one to play it with.’ Worry ye not, because this is why I’ve organised a group session of Big Walk this evening (Tuesday 11th August) with Eurogamer readers, which you’re welcome to join, numbers allowing (and currently, they do). Head to the Eurogamer Discord and to the Big Walk channel if you’re interested.
