Grand Theft Auto VI Limited-Edition PS5 DualSense Controllers Are Up for Preorder

Sony and Rockstar are partnering up to release two different limited-edition GTA 6-themed PS5 DualSense controllers. One is black and one is white. The designs are relatively subtle, but they both look tasteful and appealing. They cost $84.99 each and are set to release on November 19, the same day as the game. Preorders are live now (see at Walmart). Read on for more info.

The white version of the controller is available in limited quantities at a variety of retailers. Sony says the white one “embodies Vice City at daybreak, from its white sands and pastel skies to all its laid-back glamour.”

The black version is exclusive to PlayStation Direct. If you’re stuck in line, try this link, which may let you skip the queue. It’s likely to sell out fast, so grab it if you see it in stock and you want it. Sony says this one “captures the energy of Vice City’s iconic nightlife.”

On both controllers, the inside of the grips have a “shimmering, color-shifting finish” that changes color as you turn the controllers in the light. Both feature a big but subtle “VI” on the touchpad, as well as textured, inset palm tree etchings in the grips.

Aside from that, these are your standard DualSense controllers with all of the expected functionality: haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, a big old touch pad – the usual good stuff we all appreciate.

More GTA 6 Preorders

In other news, you can preorder Grand Theft Auto VI for PS5 ahead of the November 19 launch. If you do preorder, whether in physical or digital format, you’ll be able to preload it a week ahead of launch so you’re not taking up precious time downloading when you could be playing. “Physical” copies don’t include a disk — just a download code — but they do ship on November 12 so you have time to preload. In the meantime, you can rewatch the GTA 6 extended look as many times as you want.

If you’re in the market for other PS5 controllers, the Marvel’s Wolverine DualSense looks pretty great as well.
