Pokémon Polaroid Cameras Are Up for Preorder – Here’s Where to Buy

Here’s an unexpected crossover: Pokémon and Polaroid have teamed up to release a trio of pocket monster-themed instant cameras. There’s a yellow one based on Pikachu, complete with a lightning bolt tale; a pink-and-white Sylveon one with a ribbon-like strap; and a red-and-white one meant to evoke a Pokéball. They look great, but they’re selling out fast. You can check stock on Amazon, Pokémon Center, and Polaroid. If you see the one you want available, you’ll want to order it fast.

Pokémon X Polaroid Instant Cameras and Film

These are all Polaroid Now Generation 3 I-Type Instant Film Cameras, which means they’re chunky and colorful, and they shoot full-size Polaroid pictures. The prints come out of the camera right after you take the photo. Polaroid also touts this model’s “optimized exposures for sharper pictures.”

Additionally, each camera has a self-timer mode, a tripod mount on the bottom, and battery life that lasts for 15 film packs.

While they’re compatible with Polaroid i-Type film and Polaroid 600 film, Polaroid is also releasing a number of Pokémon-themed film packs. There’s one to go along with each camera design. The Sylveon-themed film has a pink border with purple Sylveon and Pokéball silhouettes. Pikachu film has a yellow boarder, with three little Pikachus along the thick bottom side. Finally, the standard Pokémon Edition film has multiple designs, each one based on a popular Pokémon.

Again, if you’re interested in picking up any of these items, you’ll want to do it sooner than later. They seem to be quite popular and won’t likely stay in stock for long.
