Shift Up has announced a Stellar Blade sequel, Stellar Blade Blood Rain, alongside a debut trailer at Summer Game Fest 2026.
The sequel to the hit 2024 action adventure game will be published by Shift Up’s new publishing division. The first Stellar Blade was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, before it made its way to PC a year later. Shift Up’s decision to go it alone means Stellar Blade 2 can launch on Xbox Series X and S as well as PC and PS5.
Tonight’s showing came with the caveat that the game was still early in development, so don’t expect it to arrive anytime soon.
“Stellar Blade: Blood Rain marks the next chapter in the acclaimed action-adventure franchise being developed by the original team,” reads an official blurb. “Set in the same universe as Stellar Blade, the next installment continues the story beyond the events of the first game, introducing new protagonist Evie and expanding the world in a bold new direction.
“While the project is still in early development, Shift Up has made incredible progress and is looking forward to sharing more details when ready. The team is hard focused on building upon the stylish action, world-building, and core elements that fans have adored from Stellar Blade, while evolving the universe in ambitious new ways.”
