Sega’s next big Virtua Fighter game finally has a proper name, which has been revealed alongside a fancy new trailer.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads is set to release in 2027. The trailer we got showed off what looks to be a story mode for the game, where the player character can be seen navigating the world and getting into fights. How this will actually play isn’t quite clear, but it’s an enticing look at the game nonetheless.
Until now, all we saw of this new Virtua Fighter was some awesome looking one-vs-one fighting. Which, y’know, is what you’d really want from a new Virtua Fighter. Without a set release date in place, one hopes this trailer is the start of a steadier rollout of character reveals and extended looks as we jiggle our way towards its launch.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads, first announced in January of last year, instantly won the hearts of old school fighting game fans. It also is quite the looker, with this new trailer only emphasising that point.
