At this evening’s Summer Game Fest showcase, Panache Digital Games and Patrice Désilets gave us all a trailer for 1666: Amsterdam.
“Every 333 years, something stirs. 1666: Amsterdam is a 3rd person Dark, Story-Led, Action-Adventure where Noa, the Collector, wields witchcraft to uncover demonic entities hiding behind human faces,” reads the official blurb, accompanying the new trailer. “Investigate by day. Face your demons at night.”
If 1666: Amsterdam looks up your street, there is a standalone prologue demo you can try out now. This prologue, which is available on Steam and Epic Games Store, includes:

No fake footage, no vertical slices, just a playable experience evolving build after build, day after day,” said Désilets following today’s reveal of 1666: Amsterdam.

The free prologue available now on Steam and Epic Games Store is only a small taste of what’s to come, an amuse-bouche before a nine-course dinner, an introduction to the world, its characters, and its different time periods. We hope players will enjoy discovering it as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it.”
Elsewhere this evening, we got our best look yet at Alien: Isolation 2, and confirmation that the long-rumoured Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake was indeed real.
